My Teacher is From Mars!

For students, who have or had those special teachers, that make learning an unforgetable experience in your life. Be grateful. For those special teachers…We Thank You!

OH, why did I have to go to school today?

My teacher is from Mars and that is all I will say.

Except I have seen the twinkle in her eyes,

Made from the dust of the stars.

And her smile is surrounded by bright red lips,

Which I know the people have, who come from the planet Mars!

OH, why did I have to go to school today?

My teacher is from Mars and that is all I will say.

Except she has a jar of dust, calling it pretend.

I think it is from a comet, at least the tail end.

And she can read a book with it turned toward our class.

Looking right through the pages, as if it were made of glass.

OH, why did I have to go to school today?

My teacher is from Mars and that is all I will say.

Except she is so nice and fun, makes you a little suspicious.

She says she believes in fairy tales and tell us to believe in our wishes.

She has a laugh that makes you laugh too!

She could be from Mars, I think it is another clue.

OH, why did I have to go to school today?

My teacher is from Mars and that is all I will say.

Except when I leave, I really want to stay.

She hypnotizes us each and every day!

And I thought I saw an antenna, sticking out of her hair.

Then she quickly tucked it back in, and did not even care!

OH, why did I have to go to school today?

My teacher is from Mars and that is all I will say.

Now, I have some questions for you…

Does your teacher have a can of pretend dust and antennas sticking from her head?

Does she read to your class and looks straight ahead?

Do you want to go to school each and every day?

Then your teacher could be from Mars and that is all I will say.
